Vytas Ramanauskas

Vytas Ramanauskas is a partner and attorney-at-law specialising in maritime, transport and commercial law, with a particular focus on complex dispute resolution.

Before entering legal practice, he studied navigation at Klaipėda Maritime School and worked as a deck officer, gaining first-hand practical experience of shipping operations. He graduated from the Faculty of Law of Vilnius University in 1992. From 1992 to 1996, he worked for a Lithuanian shipping company, where he was responsible for legal and marine insurance matters. From 1996, he spent two years training with the London maritime law firm Hill Taylor Dickinson.

He represents Lithuanian and international clients in court proceedings and arbitration. His principal areas of practice include ship arrest and release in Lithuania and abroad, charterparties, shipbuilding and ship repair contracts, cargo and transport disputes, marine casualties, P&I and other marine insurance matters. He also advises on international commercial transactions, mergers and acquisitions, corporate reorganisations and commercial disputes.

Irmantas Balčiūnas

Represents businesses and private clients in criminal, administrative and civil proceedings, as well as in disputes involving construction, real estate and property rights.

His professional experience includes working as a criminal investigator with the police, a prosecutor and an attorney-at-law. His extensive experience in law enforcement enables him to assess criminal cases from different procedural perspectives and effectively represent clients’ interests.

He also has teaching experience and continuously develops his professional knowledge through legal training and professional development programmes.
